First Breath After Coma

It's been a while since I wrote anything. I once wrote a 93 page screen play, replete with intentions to submit to Sundance. I was swiftly met with a failed hard drive and irrecoverable backup. Since then it has been a long slow burn back to having the passion to write screenplays and take photos that I enjoyed again.

Here's hoping this is a fresh start. This past weekend in Deep Cove and Vancouver, BC:

EXT. WOODED HIKING TRAIL - DAY

As KRISTEN looks back, she sees her breath float through the crisp air.

K
The air is so fresh!

D
Yea, even though there is a busy road with cars nearby.

K
It's so lush and the trees are so tall, that I think
there's enough to absorb all of that on a daily basis.

D
Absolutely.

I begin to turn away and look back on the trail.

D (cont'd)
Do you think we should head back?

K
Not yet, I just want to enjoy this moment for a little longer.
